Nick Lowe aka The Jesus Of Cool was the first artist on Stiff Records, produced the Damned’s debut world-changing punk rock single “New Rose”, wrote “What’s So Funny Bout Peace Love And Understanding” and produced Elvis Costello’s legendary first five albums, wrote “The Beast In Me” for Johnny Cash. That’s just basic facts- Nick Lowe made music on guitars (and bass guitars) that became a huge part of what’s good about modern western culture. Also, Nick Lowe is humble, generous and hilarious about his process as a guitarist, bassist and songwriter. So this episode is a huge deal.
